  1. With Destiny Draw going to 3, do you think Destiny decks become in the league of fan favorites like any FTK decks?(Makyura, blah blah blah) Not like Destiny Draw decks weren't before, it's just that power in the Traditional Format is about playing the numbers game and Destiny Draw at 3 sure does help their case.

That old Summoner Monk Teleport deck might want to be looked at again also.

  2. Infact, I would go as far to say almost every Destiny Hero deck in Traditional is effected seriously by this ban list on a large degree. Most decks now in Traditional that are Chaos style are going to have to be reslotted in some way cause of the Destiny Draw.

Like in Fusion Control, I did not have much of a argument last time for the 'PWWB' argument because the card works like it's supposed to.

But with Destiny Draw at 3, it changes the deck to accomodate speed as a factor. x3 Draw engines are great in Advanced so in Traditional they make completely different monsters.

In Painful Choice.dek even there are some changes to be made. Necro Guardna also goes to 3, and Painful Choice.dek can slot him wherever as a 3 slotted defense mechanism, along with the 3rd Destiny Draw. Thats 2 more cards fighting for slots in that deck.

Another potent question to ask Jamie, is what will Reasoning at 2 do for the Traditional Format. One of your older decks, Kuraz Blade on here featured the engine of a Magical Explosion deck called ''Junk Blade'', with Reasoning at 2 I think this deck can be changed for a first turn kill mechanism ( Junk Collector with broken Traditional traps), or just improved by fitting in another Reasoning. Reasoning is annoying for sure when your having to play against it because if all things go right with you calling the level correctly, you still let themselves mill alot of cards.

So what combos Reasoning.dek creates will be interesting to see, and what destructive capabilities Destiny Draw AT 3?!?!?!? Will bring. Destiny Draw at 3 is cake for Traditional players, now we just have to eat it.

So new decks or ideas will be great, thanks!

Also, coming in 3rd isn't that bad for the tournament but it seems like the top decks are just Chaos Stun decks. From playing on Duel Network very often in Traditional and real life experience I can say that whatever deck I happen to play will be able to stop Thunder King Raioh, or play around him.

The Chaos Stun decks are great but they can be beaten with something like Fusion Control I think. And they can't really abuse something like Destiny Draw because they clog their hands up with Hand Traps, or more cloggy monsters like Thunder King. I did like how 1st ran Droll&Lock Bird maindeck though. But if your deck is ready for a slow game or fast one Bird is just minus card advantage.

    1. Oh, yes, the new Limited Lists most definitely present some new things to think about in the Traditional Format, Destiny Draw going back to three, as you pointed out, being the most obvious one. Destiny Hero-based decks have always been a top contender in this format, as I have said on multiple occasions (and shown by publishig so many of them), even if they are slightly more incosistent than, say, Chaos Stun (hence the 3rd place finish - I dead drew game three of Top 4), but the third Destiny Draw gives an even greater access to speed and the ability to perform better more often. I am certainly looking forward to next format because of this.

In addition, the eased restrictions on Emergency Teleport, Necro Gardna and Reasoning also bring extra boons to other decks, such as those you listed, although I think it is a little unfortunate that all of these changes only affect decks that I have aleady done - I really don't want to revisit strategies unless I absolutely need to. That said, I do have some new ideas floating around, but I will most likely do an analysis of the Destiny Hero Plants I played at this tournament before anything else.
